- Bluetooth is the code name for a new wireless radio technology
developed by Ericsson Inc., Intel Corp., Nokia Corp. and Toshiba.
- The technology enables data connections between electronic devices
(both mobile and stationary devices) such as desktop computers, wireless
phones, electronic organizers and printers in the 2.4 GHz range.
Bluetooth would replace cable or infrared connections for such devices.
- For instance, it specifies how mobile phones, computers and PDAs
interconnect with each other, with computers, and with office or home
phones.
